Welcome!
As pastor of Bethany Baptist Church, let me welcome
you to our website and to our church.
As our church ministers here in our community we
are guided by several principles of ministry.
First, we are not
concerned about where you have been, we are only concerned about where
you are going.
As Jesus walked through
the countryside, He didn’t look to minister to the “religious” people.
In fact He shunned the religious people in favor of the everyday people
who had real struggles and real problems in their lives. Jesus
ministered to the hurting, the sick, the emotionally ravaged people that
daily struggled in their own lives. He didn’t turn away the woman at the
well that had had five husbands and wasn’t married to the one she
currently lived with, Jesus ministered to her! Jesus didn’t turn away
the dishonest tax collector who was shunned by society; Jesus went and
stayed at the tax collectors house ministering to him! Jesus, while
dying on the cross, didn’t turn away from the thief who recognized Jesus
as the Messiah. He told him he would join Jesus in Paradise that
very day!
Here at Bethany Baptist
Church, we don’t care where you have been, what failures you have had,
or where you have stumbled. We are concerned about where you are going.
Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus? Are you headed for
Eternal Life in Heaven? Are you in a place where your hurts can be
healed? We are concerned about where you are going!
Second, we believe that every member of Bethany Baptist Church should
have a ministry!
When God created you, He
created you for ministry! God gave you specific talents and abilities.
These talents and abilities make up part of who you are. When you come
to Christ He gifts you with specific Spiritual Gifts that when combined
with your abilities and talents creates the opportunity for ministry. At
Bethany Baptist Church we help you discover and develop your talents,
abilities and gifts so that you can channel them into your own ministry.
As a church we try to facilitate your ministry. Every member a minister!
Again, I welcome you to our site and invite you to
worship with us this Sunday!
